Licentia provides one-time psychiatric consultations to assist clients in better understanding their own mental health and navigating treatment.
Licentia does not provide psychiatric treatment nor do we provide specific recommendations about what a client should choose for their mental health treatment. We simply provide evidence and clinical experience that will allow clients to make those decisions for themselves.
FAQs

Psychiatric treatment often does require an initial psychiatric consultation. However, conslutation-only services like LIcentia do not provide treatment services like psychotherapy, medication management or other psychiatric treatments. During a one-time consultation appointment, clients can learn more about their mental health and receive guidance about their options for treatment without committing to a particular treatment.
-
Although treatment clinics provide an initial evaluation prior to starting treatment, these consults are often 60 minutes or shorter. Treatment clinics are also limited to the number of services provided, so clients can sometimes feel disparaged about being denied treatment, having to pay initial appointments at several different clinics, or pressured into starting a particular treatment service.
At Licentia, providers will have ample time to assess clients’ mental health status and address client concerns. Clients will learn more about their mental health and receive un-biased guidance about treatment options in a pressure-free environment.
